A Big Heart

T his was in 1990. I had to move out of my sister's house for dating Eric, into a room that I was going to be renting in a house in Bowie, MD. I did not have a car and Eric's car did not work. He met me at my sister's house one bright and early morning with a dolly and helped my move my stuff to the place where I would be living. We made 3-4 trips back and forth and the place was almost a mile walk from my sister's house. Once I got settled in and it came time to cook food, I did not have any pots and pans. I was using the owner's and they were all either non-stick or aluminum. Eric took me to the mall and bought me a whole, brand new set of Paul Revere stainless steel pots and pans. We were not even engaged or married, but he spent that money, because he did not want me to cook in toxic materials.
